Brad
K. Atkins reports:
I live in
Decatur and have been married to Leigh Ellen since 1996. We have one
son, Jacob (almost 3) and one girl, Reagan (born 9/30/04). Not only
is Leigh Ellen a graduate of Austin High, she is an Auburn graduate.
Since I’m an Alabama fan, we do have an interesting time in the Fall each
year. In my spare time, I help out my Auburn friends by teaching
their much younger wives to be Alabama fans. I look forward to
helping David Williamson’s, Steve Owens', and Jay Stackhouse's children to
say "Roll Tide".
Yes it is true that Steve Owens’ wife is younger than
my wife. If there is contest at our reunion concerning who has the
youngest wife, my money is on Steve Owens. My congratulations in
advance to you Steve.
I work in Huntsville at SRS Technologies as their
Director of Contracts. I received my undergrad and masters’ from UAH.
And I voted for
Nancy Worley to be Alabama’s Secretary of State.

Missing? Never
been on a missing list. Kind of like the face on the milk carton! I'm
doing great. I am a writing specialist for six schools, helping students
to pass the state writing assessment. I am part owner of a business called
Studio One, where we have a children's book store and fine arts studio. I
direct way too many plays a year, write books and direct The Miracle
Worker at the Helen Keller Birthplace. Sadly, I will be doing the final
weekend of the show while you guys are having the reunion.

Michael Carter
reports:
Living in Franklin, TN (right outside Nashville) with wife Stacy, son
Holden (5), daughter Emeline (3) and dog Phoebe (Jack Russell Terrier). I
am currently a civil rights attorney in Nashville. I am doing whatever I
can to avoid growing up, so when I'm not chasing kids around I play ice
hockey (still have all my teeth) and guitar (still hoping to become a rock
star).
As
for gossip: I was in Decatur several months ago visiting a friend when I
find myself at K-Mart (I think it was K-Mart - they all start to look
alike to me). Anyway, as I walk in I'm thinking, "Maybe I'll run into
somebody I know?" Well, about 30 seconds after that I pass this girl that
looks familiar - it's Kelly Ruggiere (Vanderpool). Funny thing is, she
was in town just visiting like I was. What are the odds??
I'm
really looking forward to the reunion and seeing everybody. Big thanks to
Noel for doing such a good job putting this together. I hope everybody
will help him out any way they can. I guess I just volunteered myself.
If
anyone is in the Nashville area, give me a call (615-591-1453).

James (Jimmy) Compton reports:
Tried the more
lucrative world of public accounting from 1998 to 2000 and even earned a
Master of Accountancy degree from Samford University. After waking in a
cold sweat on many nights and having flashbacks to more exciting days, I
returned to the career I loved as a police officer. I am now a detective
and a sergeant and work in a small, growing community outside Birmingham.
I got divorced after almost 17 years of marriage. I am dating my former
partner, Beverly. Hopefully, she can come to the reunion with me. My
daughter Ashley graduated magna cum laude from UAB and is moving to
Berkley, CA this summer to work on her PhD. She got married in New Zealand
last year. My daughter Erin is in 9th grade and my son Tyler is in 7th.

|
Mike Floyd
reports:
It is amazing
that I am considered missing when a large number of people who have
"gossiped" also live here in Nashville. I ran into Michael Carter today
(6/16/2005) and he informed me of the reunion. I had no idea! I had
actually forgotten about the whole 20 year thing. I do hope to attend. It
would be fun to see everyone. As for me, I will be celebrating 15 years of
marriage this August. Lori and I have two boys named Benjamin (7) and
Joshua (4). We have been in Nashville since 1993 and we really enjoy
living here. I am employed at American Healthways and have been for the
past 6 years. Lori is fortunate enough to stay home with the kids. Please
feel free to contact me. I have always felt out of touch here in Nashville
but quite a few of us are here. Small world!

Rick Fuller
reports:
Life has been
very good. I have been married to my wife Marcella for 13 years and the
last ten we have been living in Nashville. Like just about everyone else
in Nashville I have dreams of making it big in the music business. Though
I haven't "made it big" yet, I have had the opportunity to work with some
major artists and even do some studio work. I did get to sing on the Opry
with Vince Gill. I do work for a living to. I own a company that manages
corporate events and some concerts.
Marcella and I have three kids, one in college, one about to start and one
in seventh grade. I don't get back to Decatur as often as I would like,
but I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the re-union.

LOVE being a Mom! I didn't realize sports start so early in life.

Noel
King reports:
In June of 2002, during a
mid-life crisis (the first of many to come), I jumped in my car, drove to
the Atlanta Skydiving
Center (actually located in the backwoods a good distance from
Atlanta), allowed myself to be strapped to some guy known only to me by
his title (Tandem Master) and his nickname (Horseface), boarded a rickety
cargo plane and ultimately, stepped out of the cargo hatch at 14,000 feet!
After an amazing freefall (throughout which I yelled every expletive known
to man), I felt the jerk of the parachute being released . . . . . only to
thereafter hear my "tandem master" calmly say "uh oh." Over the next
few moments (which seemed like an eternity to me), the "tandem master" had
much fun telling me "Hey man, this is sooooooo coool! Come on, look
up, the cords are twisted. Don't worry, I'll get it fixed!"
Luckily, ol' Horseface proved that he deserved the designation of tandem
master and ultimately remedied the problem allowing a smooth and scenic ride to the ground. It was an
unforgettable experience that I recommend to everyone!

field. Kyle is becoming quite a good hitter.
|
Hank Little reports:
I now live
just outside the Decatur City limits in Danville, where we are currently
rebuilding. (My wife is from there and wants no part of the city!) I
have been married to my beautiful wife, Holly, for almost 13 years. She
and I have three children and they all attend the Danville schools. We
must have a thing for the letter "H" because all of our first names begin
with that letter. My first name is Hank; my wife's name is Holly; my
oldest daughter's name is Hannah (age 12); my middle daughter's name is
Haylee (age 10); and my youngest son's name is Hayden (age 5). (Even our
pets' names begin with H's.) All of my children are healthy and are very
active in sports and other extra-curricular activities! I, along with
Holly, currently hold my Master's Degree from UNA and am working on my
doctorate. My wife and I both teach for the Morgan County School System.
I am currently at Falkville High School, where I've taught several
children of past fellow Decatur High School graduates and my wife teaches
and coaches over at Danville High School! I am very active in the local
Morgan County Education Association where I've just completed two elected
terms of Vice President and President, respectively.

Paul Martin reports:
(Actually reported by Paul's wonderful
wife, Lynn!)
Paul and I met
and then married on the beach in Seagrove, Florida in 2000. We had a
simple, beautiful ceremony under a bamboo hut we built and named the
Seagrove Yacht Club. Our two beautiful 3 yr old girls, Sara Kate and
Morgan were the flower girls (both from our previous marriages). I
stopped working as a photographer shortly after we married because we
found out we were expecting another baby. We also learned that
Paul's ex-wife was moving either to Birmingham or Knoxville. We
discussed and prayed about it and we decided that we could not split the
girls up so we would move wherever they did. Thank god it was
Birmingham! Paul's mom and dad still live in Decatur so we decided
Cullman would be a good place to settle down. Addie Belle was born
12 days after we closed on the house. Good timing! Paul is
working hard as a financial advisor for Woodmen Financial and Woodmen of
the World. We also do a lot of fraternal activities and fund raising
usually in the form of a BBQ so we spend a great deal of weekends smokin'
meat. Don't let him fool you though, HE LOVES IT!
|
Linda Miller reports:
Let's see . . .
in twenty years I have made a lot of art, recieved two degrees,
participated in many theatrical productions(some panned and some plain
miraculous), bought an old "hysterical" house, paid off my car, taught art
to thousands of kids in Decatur and Huntsville, have had three dogs, two
divorces AND came out of my shiet and quy shell. My parents still claim
me, old friends have become the parents of kids I teach or have taught,
and I've travelled to far reaching places to see or make art. Other than
that...I still frighten small children with my laugh and my sense of humor
has improved . . .

Barbara Mooney reports:
I have moved to
sunny California after living in Chicago, IL for 13 years. I live in
Fresno, which is in the Central Valley (just 80 miles from Yosemite). I am
always open to visitors, I have plenty of room. I am a Plant Manager for
Kraft Foods. We are the only makers of Cornnuts in the world, so think of
me when you crunch down on a Cornnut (be careful, they are tough on your
teeth). I can send some cases to the reunion for all to enjoy. I
gradutated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Notre Dame in 1989
and completed my MBA at Kellogg in 1996. I was also lucky enough to play
on the Notre Dame softball team as a pitcher for four years. I am single
and miss all my friends in Chicago. I plan to move back there in another
year depending on my next career move. I had so much fun reading about
everyone. I would love to try to make it to the reunion, however, I will
have to wait and see. I was diagnosed with Lymphoma in February and have
my last Chemo treatment on June 23rd. Bald is beautiful!!!! (Now if I can
only sing like Sinead and Melissa). If my doctor decides I need radiation,
I will not be able to attend the reunion. I will not know until just
before the reunion. My treatment is going great. I have had little side
effects. My cancer is already gone. If it does not return in 2
years, I am considered cured. Take care and if I do not see you have
a great reunion.

Troy
New reports:
Living in
Southlake, Texas (in between Dallas and Ft. Worth) since 1993.
Married (13yrs) with three kids, Preston (7), Hannah (4), and Olivia (1
1/2). I finished my ob/gyn residency in 1997 and have been in
private practice since. I visited Michael Carter this summer and would
like to confirm that there has been no detectable increase in maturity.
His children, however, do seem well adjusted and look after their father.
|
Kim
Newton reports:
I was covering an event for
NASA in Montgomery with Gov. Riley and ran into Ms. Worley, Secretary of
State, who invited me to come to her office anytime. She said she
was so proud. Wow, now that's different!
|
Steve Owens reports:
I live in
Brandon (Jackson), Mississippi, and have been married to Carrie (Stevens)
since 2000. We are expecting a little Stevie or Carrie in May. David
Williamson and I are now related (he is related to my wife somehow here in
Miss.). I graduated from Mississippi State with a landscape architecture
degree and have worked for a firm here in Jackson for about 9 years. The
only gossip I can think of is that my wife is younger than Brad Atkins'.
|
Julia Peake reports:
Hello to All.
Where to start with gossip about myself? It seemed like there was always
something going around about me in high school, you would think this would
be easy to start my own about myself. Anyway, my daughter- Elizabeth is 20
years old and is finishing here sophomore year at KY Western University in
Bowling Green, KY. Talk about growing up fast, I never feel old until I
tell people that I have a 20 year old daughter (she’ll be 21 this fall).
I’m still single, much to my mother’s dismay; though I am seeing a
wonderful man right now, I’m in no hurry to get married, I’m too busy. I
attend a fantastic church in Louisville, KY; it’s a little too big for
some, we have about 20,000 people as registered members, but only have
about 19,000 average attendance. You can see the church via our web site:
www.southeastchristian.org. I’ve been following the progress of the
Reunion through this site with great excitement. Unfortunately, I got word
about a month ago that my mission trip this summer has had to have the
dates changed. I’ll be in Bralia, Romania while ya’ll party down in ‘Bama.
I would like to see everyone, but my heart was captured by the sunflowers
in Romania last year, and I have to go back. It’s a beautiful country, and
the people there are amazing. Yes, I would recommend traveling there to
anyone. We went by way of Vienna, and due to a cancelled flight, we found
ourselves in Madrid coming home. I promised Mechele Woodall a snail mail
post card from there this summer, anyone else want one?
I hope every one is doing well, sounds like it anyway from the gossip
page, and have fun at the reunion.
|
Teresa Pirtle Jett reports:
The years sure
went by fast! I've been married now for 20 years to a fun and wonderful
man. We have 2 children: Jonathan (19) and Anna (16). My husband is in the
army and just returned from a 14 month duty in Iraq. As for myself, I
worked retail sales for many years until I finally got sick of it and went
back to school to get a degree. I now work with the Alabama Organ Center
harvesting tissue and organs for tissue donation and research. I love my
job! My back yard has turned into a petting zoo. My kids bring home strays
and I don't have the heart to turn them away. We now have 4 cats, 1 dog,
several chickens and 2 ducks. The birds will be leaving us soon!!!! I
forgot the fish...oh yeah, the ducks ate them...
|
Chem Proctor Schultz reports:
Wow! 20 years?
I am not that old! It will be great to come back to Decatur. After
finishing college with a Forensic Science degree and a year of graduate
school, I went to work on a cruise ship. My intentions were to see the
East coast and the Virgin Islands. (Have more fun) I tried to talk Suzette
Sellers into going with me. No, she did not go. Well, things did not work
out like I had planned. I met my husband on that love boat!! After a year
long voyage, I went to St. Louis, MO and got married. We now have three
daughters. (Jessica 13, Erica 6 and Phoebe 9 (our dog). No, I am not
working in the Forensic field; however, it really is a smash on T.V. I
found that motherhood was wonderful and I spent a few years at home with
my first child. I then decided to become a teacher. I currently teach 3rd
grade at a wonderful school. Who knows what is next! P.S. Suzette Sellers
Brown you're my true BFF!!!
|
Alan
Robinson reports:

in all sorts of sports, plays and school activities. I work over in
Madison at a! small telecomm company called Verilink and Debra works at
home as a domestic engineer, car pool coordinator, school volunteer, etc.!
|
Demetria Robinson reports:
Doing well and

|
Suzette Sellers Brown reports:
Hey there
everyone!!! I've been living in Birmingham for 14 years now. Ed and I
will be celebrating our 10th anniversary March 2005!!! We have 2 great
kids, Eddie (almost 9), and Abby (6). I can't forget our 2 dogs Maxie and
Harley. Right now I'm substitute teaching at Oak Mountain Elementary
School and working part-time at Barnes & Noble. Yesterday, I actually ran
into Jared Flake at the bookstore and we talked about the reunion. Can't
wait for it!! Also, Noel, remember us seeing each other at the Orlando
Airport earlier in March? I'm still best friends with Chem Proctor
Schultz, who lives in St. Louis. Can't wait to see everyone!!!

for 13 years to Ron DeWeese, Jr. We had two great boys - Steven (16)
and Nicholas (15) - and the boys live in Priceville. We divorced in 1998.

Jay
Stackhouse reports:

age 11, and Cole age 4. I work for IBM on contract for NASA at the
Marshall Space Flight Center. I am a Senior Technical Software Developer.
We live in Priceville, Alabama. If I am not coaching my sons T-ball team,

lake fishing or hunting.
|
Phillip Terry reports:
I am living in
Houston, Texas with my wife Kelly and our 7 year old son Gabriel. I work
for The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center as a Cat Scan
Technologist. I also coach my son's little league baseball team and I
still root for the Tide!
|
Terri Warner Lovett reports:
I have been
married to Bobby 14 years in May. We have three children: Thomas (almost
11), Sarah (3 1/2) and Joseph (10 months). We live in Madison. We are
keeping the road hot between baseball, gymnastics, school and church . . .
oh yeah, and work. But, we are loving every minute of it. I can hardly
believe that it has been 20 years. I remember a point in my life where
that seemed so ancient . . . now it doesn't seem old at all. I am looking
forward to seeing everybody at the reunion.

Will
Webster reports:
Married Kim Smith of Foley, AL
in 1990. Have four children -- Grayson (8), Kailey (7), Britton (4) and
Caroline (2). Practices law at Webster, Henry & Lyons, P.C., since forming
the firm in 2001.
|
Dan Wesnor reports:
Played poker
with Brad Atkins, Jay Stackhouse, Dave Williamson, Steve Owens, Curtis
Spurling, and Brian Voketz and some of their wives a few weeks back.
Brian cleaned out our wallets, which was hard to believe. Brad and Leigh
Ellen have some kind of scam going where they work the table as a team,
but we can't catch them in the act. Curtis' wife Carrie tried to kill us
all by feeding us to the bursting point. Steve and his
second-cousin-by-marriage, Dave, haven't changed a bit, which is either
good or bad, depending on your perspective. I won't say anything about
Jay, seeing as how he could probably still whoop my tail despite my
10-inch height advantage. Funny how we all turn into 17 year-olds (except
Brad) when we get together. I'll probably have to miss the reunion
because work will force me to be in Kauai for 6 weeks during the summer.
Cry for me now - expressions of sympathy can be sent to
wesnor@knology.net.

David Williamson reports:
First, I want to thank Noel
for the fantastic work he did on the 10th anniversary, and in putting
together such a grand party and in preparing for the 20th anniversary. The
bad news is some of us are a little fatter and a little more bald and a
little more gray. Thank goodness I am not in that category but we are all
20 years wiser!
OK, Steve Owens & I were
really swapped at birth. Steve has ended up in Mississippi (my parents'
home state) and I ended up between Detroit & Ann Arbor, Michigan (Steve's
birth state).
So WAR EAGLE! from me & for
Stackhouse, & a GO BULLDOGS! for Steve & a ROLL TIDE! for Mr. Atkins, Mr.
Spurling & Mr. Voketz (Yes, I pulled for the Tide with Voketz @ the '78
Vandy game). And get this, Brad Atkins, to my horror, has mis-taught my
wife to say "Roll Tide!" & "Go Alabama Elephants!" Hope to see you guys in
Decatur in December!
Despite the bone-chilling
weather, I have found great happiness with my wife of (7) years, Shelly,
whom I met at a Detroit charity event. We now have raised (3) kitty cats,
Peanut, Pepper, & Patton (named after the General for his loud asthmatic
purrs). If all goes well, we plan to adopt a baby girl from China late
next spring. Shelly is working as a CPA for Intermec Corporation. I'm
working for Ford Motor Company as a Product Engineer, currently in
steering systems as a six sigma black belt (hiii yah!) . If you need a
company discount on a Ford, Lincoln/Mercury, Mazda, Jag, or Volvo, let me
know because I always have too many discounts & I let them go to waste.
We don't have grits & BBQ up
here, to my dismay, but if you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'll show
you the best Fatoush salad & hummus this side of the Detroit River. Ask
Roland Ryan, we had some pretty good Cajun food in downtown Detroit, eh?

Mechele Woodall reports:
Been living in
Huntsville for the past few years after a brief stay in Las Vegas.
And may I say what a fun place Vegas is - for singles and for families!
Currently, I'm working at The Space and Rocket Center while pursuing a
double Masters in Human Factors and Space Studies. So anyone out
there working in the space industry . . . I am available for a "real" job.
:-) Or if you just want to say "Hey", buzz me or email me.
It's great to see what everyone has been up to the past several years.
Can't wait to see everyone again.

Wooten Herchenhahn reports:
I've been married for 16 and
half years to Randall Herchenhahn (and I thought Wooten was bad) and we
have two of the most beautiful girls, Taylor (12) and Katie (9). (They
look like their daddy!) I've been working for with the Government since
1988, but now I'm a contractor with SAIC in Huntsville working on the
Ground Based Mid-Course Missile Defense Program. I do Configuration
Management for the IT group and its always jumping around here. Randall
and I love to camping and fishing and play golf, but mostly we stay home
and do whatever the girls want to do. Oh we also have 4 dogs, who I call
my babies, 2 Pomeranians (Dixie and Belle), a MaltiPoo (Scooby Do) and an
Australian Shepard/Lab mix named Freckles. The dogs actually rule the
roost so we do whatever they feel like doing. We live in wonderful
Falkville, AL (Falk Vegas as I lovingly refer to it) where our classmate
Steve Hames is our new Chief of Police. YEA! (Remember Steve, NO TICKETS!)
If you're ever out in the country, come on by and see us!
